On March 6, 2024 in the head office of the Private Joint Stock Bank the meeting of Kamil Gabbazov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the financial institution, with the members of the delegation headed by Mr. Bahaaledin Kirimli, Acting Chief Investment Officer of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of Private Sector, took place.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on further strengthening of bilateral relations, particularly on mutual cooperation in the field of Islamic finance. In addition, emphasis was placed on improving the qualifications of employees, expanding the range of services provided by the bank, financing small and medium-sized businesses on Sharia terms.
In addition, the signing ceremony of the Letter of Intent for Cooperation between Trustbank Private Joint Stock Bank and the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) was held. According to this Agreement, the parties will continue cooperation on financing promising projects for small and medium businesses in Uzbekistan through the subsidiary of “Trustbank” – “Trast Muamalat” LLC on the basis of Islamic principles.
It should be noted that cooperation between Trustbank and ICD started in 2018, and the total volume of attracted lines to date amounts to 37 million US dollars.
