A population and agricultural census will be conducted in the Republic of Uzbekistan from january 15 to february 28, 2026. This is an important step in collecting accurate information about every citizen and household in our country and determining future socio-economic plans.
The census will be carried out in 2 stages:
Stage 1 (January 15-31):
For 17 days, citizens will have the opportunity to register online using the OneID system through the website “census.stat.uz”. This is a convenient, fast, and modern method that allows participation in the census without leaving home.
Stage 2 (February 4-28):
Members of the “Mahalla Seven” will go door-to-door and conduct the registration process using tablets. At this stage, personal information will be collected by visiting each household.
Questionnaire content:
The census will collect information from citizens and agricultural entities on a total of 71 questions:
Population-related – 54 questions (age, education, employment, living conditions, etc.);
Agriculture-related – 17 questions (land area, livestock numbers, crop types, etc.).
Data confidentiality is guaranteed.
Personal data is protected by law.
The survey results will not be submitted to other agencies and will be used only for statistical analysis.
Why is this important?
Census results:
– provide the state with a clear picture of the actual size and composition of the population;
– will serve as a basis for planning new jobs, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure;
– create the possibility for proper distribution of resources in agriculture.
