At a video conference chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and dedicated to bringing the field of physical culture and sport to a new level, engaging the population in mass sport on a broad scale, and improving the system of athlete selection and training, the head of state emphasized that sport is not merely a matter of competition, but a powerful force reflecting a healthy lifestyle, discipline, patriotism, and the country's standing. In addition, a new procedure for popularizing sport within organizations was established, under which every minister, head of a sector or bank, and every regional and district governor is required to set a personal example in engaging in sport and to expand the opportunities available to their employees. It was also noted that republic-wide championships would be held among ministries, sectors, banks, and regional administrations.
In this regard, Trustbank Private Joint-Stock Bank has put in place a systematic program of sports competitions among its employees, with the “Spartakiada” games being one such initiative.
Ahead of the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the “Spartakiada — 2026” sports competition will be held within the Trustbank Private Joint-Stock Bank system. Group qualifying matches will take place on October 10–11 of this year, with the semi-final and final stages held on October 17.
Participants will compete against one another in volleyball, track and field (relay running), mini-football, chess, swimming, and table tennis.
Winners will be awarded a cup, special statuettes, and cash prizes.
